On May 3rd, Austin Gets a Makeover!

Staying true to tradition, the Environmental Advisory Committee is organizing the Great Ditch Cleanup for the municipality.

How to participate?

• Organize the cleanup in your neighborhood.
• Identify a leader for each road or area.
• Invite your loved ones: family, neighbors, friends!

📅 When?

Saturday, May 3rd, from 9 AM to 11:30 AM

No need to wait until May 3rd!
Get out at your convenience in the coming weeks.
📸 Take a photo with your haul and send it to Réal (coordinator) or the Environmental Service, specifying the road or area where you collected the waste.

🌍 Why participate?

Every year, several areas remain neglected, harming our environment, wildlife, and the quality of our waterways. Together, we can make a difference and revitalize our community. Your participation is essential to protect our beautiful territory.

📍 Where?

Meet at the North Fire Station (483 North Road) on May 3rd* by noon at the latest with your haul!
What to expect:

• Group photo 📸
• Delicious snacks 🍪
• Prize draw 🎁

📝 A Few Guidelines:

• Safety vest: If you wish, you can obtain a safety vest at the « Reception » trailer during the week leading up to the event or on the day itself (May 3rd*) at the North Fire Station, starting at 9 AM.
• Parking: Do not park your vehicle on the shoulder.
• Gear: Wear boots and gloves.
• Waste Sorting: Bring separate bags for trash and recyclables.
• Large Debris: Leave large debris at the roadside and inform Réal for pickup.

*Postponed to May 10th if the snowmelt is not complete.
