“Bientraitance” Exhibition in Austin Until November!

Monday 1 September 2025

The Municipality of Austin is proud to host the collective and travelling exhibition “Bientraitance” at the Parc des loisirs (22, chemin Millington) from September 1 to November 21.

Featuring works by eight artists from the Estrie region, this powerful exhibition sensitively explores elder abuse and care through gestures, attitudes, and words that can either cause harm or offer kindness. Before creating their pieces, the artists received training on the subject. Their work is deeply introspective, and for many, the creative process was both challenging and enriching, sometimes even liberating.

Participating artists:

  • Nadia Loria Legris (Sherbrooke)
  • Line Blouin (Danville)
  • Serge Ferrand (Racine)
  • Elizabeth Paradis-Proteau (Sherbrooke)
  • Jessica Ruel (Granby)
  • Geneviève Bureau (Lac-Mégantic)
  • Caroline Dostie (Canton de Hatley)
  • Isabelle Lambert (Sutton)
