IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE ELECTORS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF AUSTIN

Due to the postal strike, we are unable to post the Notice of Entry on the List of Electors that confirms your registration on the municipal list of electors. The Directeur général des élections du Québec and the Municipality have implemented the following solutions to enable you to verify if your name appears on the list of electors:

• Electors whose primary residence is in Austin: Go to the Élections Québec website to verify if your name is on the permanent list of electors.

If you have made a change of address since September 5, you may not be registered. Please verify with the Municipality (see below).

• Electors whose primary residence is not in Austin and who have filed an application for entry or a power of attorney to be entered on the list: You should be receiving, in the next few days, a notice of entry on the list by messenger service.

• All Electors – other ways to verify whether or not you are registered to vote:
  
  • Call 819 843-2388 or come to Town Hall: Our Agent, Citizen Services, will be happy to verify if you are registered on the list.
  • Write to info@municipalite.austin.qc.ca.
  • Come in person before the Board of Revisors, who will sit on the following dates and times at Town Hall:

Thursday, 16 October        1 to 8 p.m.
Saturday 18 October          9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Monday 20 October           3 to 8 p.m. ** added sitting **

To verify your registration on the list, by whatever means is selection, you will need to provide the following information : first and last names, address in Austin and date of birth.
